Rob Johnson, Chief Operating Officer
Rob oversees the scoping, building, and management of CGEP’s agribusinesses in Colombia, Haiti, El Salvador, and Indonesia.
An engineer by training, he started his career in business development and project management for a large steel fabrication company, securing and managing multi-million dollar contracts for stadiums, hospitals, skyscrapers, and bridges in the US.
Rob moved to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake with the desire to apply social business and market-driven solutions to help rebuild the country. He spent three years at TechnoServe, leading assessments and strategy development in multiple value chains and building and managing new programs from the ground up. In 2014, he left TechnoServe to launch CGEP’s agribusiness in Haiti and led the business as general manager for two years.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulde and an MBA and MSc in Sustainable Development from HEC Paris.
